There is a 6 Step Process to creating the “Ultimate Asian Theme Room”. The process itself isn’t hard but it may take some time and deep thought. Of course you don’t have to follow all 6 Steps and you don’t have to do them in the order in which they’re presented. But if you want simple, easy to follow guidelines then the following “6 Step Process To Creating The Ultimate Asian Theme Room” is for you!
Before starting this process it’s best to have a clean slate to work with. Basically have an empty room. Move everything out and start from scratch if possible. If you must work around furniture then do it but the less clutter in the room the easier the process will be.
In the meantime while reading each of the 6 Steps take out a pen and paper and jot down the creative decorating ideas that come to mind. So no matter where you are at this moment, in a library, in your home or at work clear your mind and lets begin your journey to “Creating The Ultimate Asian Theme Room”.
Step 1 - Choosing A Wall Color / Wall Colors
Step 1 begins with choosing a wall color or wall colors. Think about “where” you intend to create your Asian Theme Room first of all. Is this theme for your “Family Game Room”? Is it for your “Bed Room”? Or is it for your “Living Room“? Or is it for a totally different room in your home? Maybe it’s even a total home makeover? No matter the case you NEED to decide which room you’re going to create the “Asian Theme” in.
Next you must decide “how” you’re going to utilize your Asian Theme Room. For what purpose or purposes will it be used? For example: is it for entertaining, relaxing, family get-togethers, parties or a combination of each? Stop for a second and jot down which room is going to be your theme room and how your Asian Theme Room will be used.
Now that you’ve decided where and how you’re going to use your Asian Theme Room it’s time to think about the colors. You have basically two ways to add foundation colors to your theme room. That’s by using wallpaper or by painting.
When it comes to wallpaper there is an array of Asian wallpaper designs available to choose from. From your home improvement store or from an online retailer you’ll find some beautiful Asian influenced wallpaper designs. Some designs have faint pictures on the wallpaper and/or borders. While other wallpapers have Asian patterns or writings on them. An Asian influenced border around your room would look great with the right wall color selection.
When painting, the style and color/colors you choose should depend on which room your Asian Theme is going to be in. If in your “Family Game Room” then a two-toned color scheme would be best. But if you’re creating the theme in your bedroom then one paint color is almost always the best way to go!
The important part in choosing your paint color/colors is using your creativity and imagination. Where do you find beautiful Asian color schemes? Have you ever been to Asia? Whether you’ve been to Asia or not take your wall color inspiration directly from as aspect of Asia!
For example take a look at the colorful temples of Korea, Japan, Thailand or any other beautiful Asian country and you’ll find some great color choices there. Or use a famous Asian Print and its colors as your wall color inspiration. The key here is to dig deep and decide on a region of Asia you love and find colors that will fit your tastes and your future or current Asian room decor!
You have now completed Step 1 of the “6 Step Process To Creating The Ultimate Asian Theme Room”. You’ve jotted down how you’ll use your room, which room you’re going to create your theme in and several places to find inspiration for your choice of wall colors.
